The Milazzo refinery operates within the Italian and international refining system for the production of fuels, fuels and raw materials for petrochemicals.

Valle del Mela is one of the most polluted areas in Sicily, as the refinery emits substances that are harmful to human life, including benzene and similar materials, but also endocrine VOCs that cause neoplasia and genetic malformations on children.

Among the problems, the most evident, is the environmental crisis caused by the spills of hydrocarbons into the sea that cause the destruction of marine flora and fauna and the poisoning of the cultivated fields in the area.

Milazzo is a wild and naturalistic place that must be found, where the refinery silently and metaphorically changes like ink on the landscape.
